9.5 miles hiked
Today I realized after digging a cat hole 2 times before 8 that I forgot to resupply my wet wipes and I would be running out before I got to the next town so I found a bail out road on FarOut and decided to hike 9.5 miles to get a hitch out. With IBS I can’t afford to not have wet wipes.
It was a beautiful day hiking. Either I’m getting stronger or the hiking terrain is easier than before in May, but I felt great. No pain in my injury areas.
When I got to the road some trail work people said they could give me a ride and I went back to Snoqualmie pass.
They dropped me right in front of the Inn and I got a room asap and dropped all my stuff in the room and went to get food. I ordered spaghetti and meat balls and took the left overs for breakfast the next morning.
The waitress helped me find a hitch back to trail for two mornings from today at 6am. Sadly, no one was available tomorrow so I have an unplanned zero day, but it’s all apart of the journey this year.
On the way back to the room I saw Chili again and we went to the hot tub to hang out for a bit. Met some other hikers at the pool and chatted for a bit. Then the bar tender came into the hot tub area and said “bar is open guys come on by if you want”
Chili and I looked at each other and said alright let’s go dry off and hit the bar for a few drinks. I, of course was craving Caesar’s and ordered a Bloody Mary which is an American version of a Caesar. It was a decent Bloody Mary, but wasn’t quite hitting a spot so I went to the gas station next-door and bought some Clamato juice and I was the bartender to make it with that. He agreed, and we started experimenting to make as close to a Canadian Cesar as we can get. Throughout the night, we had more hikers come by on locals, and we played music and danced and played pool. We stayed out till closing as we all lost track of time.
