I spent a couple days in town before I planned a road trip up to Portland. A trail angel reached out to me about getting me up to PCT days in time and offered to take my tramily with us. It took a little bit of convincing, but they finally said yes when I mentioned there would be paddle boarding.

Day one involved us going to Burney falls, me getting stung by something, the Subwave caves and then a paddle in campsite for the night. It was breathtaking to paddle with the sunset over mount Shasta. we ended the night with watching a movie all piled into Dreamcatcher's tent.

Day two was a long day, but split it up with going to McCloud falls. Upper, middle, and lower falls, and we swam in the middle falls :) The water was so cold and refreshing. Then we got some Thai food for lunch. We camped at a drive in front country campsite and paddled more that evening.

Day three we road tripped up to crater lake to sight see those wonderful views. We camped at shelter cove that night. I had a splitting headache so I went to bed at 6 as I didn't feel very social.

Day four we finally arrived in Portland. We did a huge Costco run for our resupplies, then checked into our fancy hotel that we got for a crazy good price with free drinks. Then we met up with Duck and went to Karaoke night. I got the courage to get up and sing so that was pretty cool for me.

Day five we stayed in Portland to continue getting our resupplies together for our Washington boxes. We met Duck's parents and stayed there for the night to organize our boxes and get our calories in check. I also got my period so that was rough.

Day six we finished getting our resupplies and finalized our boxes, we watched movies, went to an arcade and got a bunch of tickets to use for stickers and friendship bracelets etc.

Day seven we finally made it to Cascade Locks and to PCT days. We shipped out our boxes from the post office there. Then we heading to the event and started to check out the booths. I got a bunch of free stuff, as did everyone and we had a blast catching up with friends we have met throughout the trail. That night we went to a restaurant  for dinner and then retired to bed around 10:30pm.

Day eight we decided that we would head out on trail. My tramily left earlier than I did around 5, and then I left around 7. I night hiked into Washington, I crossed the bridge of the gods (but I will again soon) and went ahead to hike to Canada.
