Day 23
Unplanned zero day in Big Bear

Today started out with me crying for about 4 hours this morning. A mix of things brought on my sadness. Missing home, being in pain, not sleeping (a guy was snoring next to me all night, thanks Brandon haha), my assault, a nightmare last night, feeling insecure etc. So I made the decision to rest and take a zero day and let my brain do what it needs to. A mental health day break. And today that meant I was mainly antisocial and crying it out. I watched some of my show after my crying spell and then after I felt better I went to town for resupply and got back upstairs to be more social.
For dinner about 10 ish hikers and I went to Kallon's. I ordered a burger called the "Triple Bypass" and ate the whole thing. It was huge and had about 8 onion rings on it and what felt like a half a pound of bacon haha. It was so good. I almost died eating it but I had no regrets.
Tonight was the lunar eclipse. It was spectacular. I wish I had been on trail to see it, but in town it was still beautiful. Kenny took us up to see it after dinner and we watched from the high school parking lot.
It was an earlier night to sleep and I had the bed all to myself to spread out and sleep in all sorts of weird positions.
