Day 9 47.8- 58.7
11.9 miles plus 1 mile for water

Today was a tough day. But I met Alaska and Orion today so that lifted my spirits to meet some rad new hikers.

I hiked about 6 miles solo and enjoyed some calming music and the views of the beautiful desert.

My hip held up today, but my feet and calves are extremely sore from the constant hiking.

Today was my longest day yet for mileage.
I’m proud of myself. With every step I take I’m basically saying fuck you to the people who hurt me and that feels great.

My calves got sunburnt today. Ouchie. Laying in my tent right now and they are burning, but at least they are keeping me warm? 😆 Always need to find that silver lining right?

The fog rolled in after a couple hours of getting to camp. It’s going to make a cold night. I’m going to read a bit and head to bed early because there is no service tonight. I actually like that there isn’t service because then I can’t be on social media! But it does suck not being able to talk to my family tonight with voice messages.

Miss them a lot. Especially storm

Tomorrow is day 10. Just wow. I can’t believe I’m hiking the pct. It probably won’t fully set in that I’m truly doing this until I hit Kennedy meadows… which is still 640 miles away haha
