Fair warning I am doing this blog about 1.5 weeks after the day happened so who knows what I rememeber... tell yea right now I dont rememeber the mileage I hiked this day... but somewhere around 14-16.
Today Woodstock and I need to get to Lee Vining to meet her friend from Germany so she can join us in hiking for the next little bit.
We mostly had a downhill day the ranger said... he LIED lol.
Sure we were going down in elevation from 9500-7300 but there were SO many inclines still. and it was pretty rocky terrain. But we made it to Silver lake around 2pm.
We went into their general store like mad women because we were so thirsty and I bought 4 drinks.. none of which were water. Apple juice, Gatorade, lemonade, and chocolate milk, yum.
While we were waiting for a hitch a family came and asked us if we wanted a drink and they brought us two ciders. Yay trail magic!
We got our hitch and made it to Lee Vining before Woodstock's friend, but amazingly the manager let us in even though it was under her friend's name and not either of ours.
We showered, then she showed up, we went to get food, chatted, went through Foxy's stuff to gear shake down before the trail (her trail name given later but as I said I'm writing this later so now we have one for her)
And then went to sleep, 7:45 bus tomorrow to Yosemite.
