8.4 miles hiked

This morning we woke up to ice and frost all over our gear and wet sleeping bags. And shit. I forgot to sleep with my water filter so that is useless now and I’ll need to borrow others until I get to town to buy a new one.

Oh boy was it a hard day. I was supposed to do a pass today and hike 15 miles but unfortunately I rolled my ankle today and I couldn’t hiked much more on it. (The ankle I tweaked yesterday…) So I opted to walk 3.5 miles more on it to the highest campsite before the pass.

Today we passed 800 miles. And a very cool and sketchy suspension bridge just before

We also passed a nature made water slide

Which Something Else tried to slide down on his Tyvek sheet. It worked better then we thought.
Then he jumped in the pool at the bottom, it looked so cold so I did not attempt. Next one haha
We spent some time there for us to relax with the beautiful views and submerge my foot into the pool

I cried today. The scenery was so beautiful and breathtaking that I cried. And then I thought of my grandma and grandpa who’s ashes I'm carrying with me and I spread some of those at that spot so they can always see that beauty.

I arrived at camp at 3:45pm which felt pretty good. I was immediately swamped by mosquitoes so I set up my tent in record time and jumped in it as fast as I could after I tossed my bag into it.

I ate candy and tuna and nuts for dinner because I couldn’t cook out of my tent due to the mosquitoes.

Also, after setting up my tent tonight I saw that my tent has like 8 holes in it on the top. So not sure what happened with that but I am not happy about it.
