Day 5 miles 32-41.5
9.5 miles hiked

Today I hiked by myself to start off as Hiccup hikes faster and got a later start to the day. I ended up catching up to Augie and Michael after a couple miles. We hiked at a slow pace together and then eventually Hiccup caught up to us and then he continued on a faster pace. When we stopped to rest and eat we ended up booking a campsite for $10 each at a place called the "Tiny House Block" which is right in Mount Laguna.

All in all it was a good day today but my hip was getting very sore so I will be rehabbing it tonight and tomorrow to hopefully get it feeling a little better.
I need to remember to start slow and work my way up to get those miles and even if it takes me longer. I’m already missing a few people and I hope that they’re doing well and I hope that end up catching up to them. (Looking to you Clive, Ngaire, Jessie and Jessica)
At the camp we quickly set up our tents and then we went to the Mount Laguna general store to re-supply and I bought a ton of food for four days before Julian if I make it in 3 or 3 1/2 that’s a bonus, but I’m planning for 4 days to be cautious.
We had to resupply fast because the restaurant closed sooner then we thought so since I finished resupplying first I walked ahead to grab our table. I ordered four cheese ravioli with cream and Parmesan and a nice cold Coca-Cola with ice and a pie with ice cream.

Very much enjoyed the conversations on the picnic table with my three new friends and enjoyed watching the stars tonight and the sunset. I also met some wonderful people who names are Jake and Erica they have a dog named Willow who is such a good boy.
They offered me a bit of trail magic by loaning me a towel for my shower instead of me having to air dry and some shampoo as well.
I hope that I see them tomorrow before I leave camp. I also got to do some laundry for the first time in five days, I’ll be excited with fresh hiking clothes tomorrow morning.

Having a little bit of a hard night mentally missing home and my pupper.
But I know I’ll be OK in the morning
I’m ready to take on a new day
