Day 48

Zero day

I slept so well last night. The AC kept me cool while the blankets kept me just warm enough to sleep peacefully.
I slept in till about 8am and then got myself ready to walk to the closest store about a mile and a half away.

I got about .5 of a mile in and decided I would instead walk to the gas station another 1/2 mile away and from there get a hitch to Target.

I asked about 3 people before I got a hitch there.

Target… Target has AC. Which to me felt so great to be in when dealing with my heat exhaustion. I also got myself a Starbucks drink and then just walked around target for a couple hours going up and down the aisles.

I found some new shorts that I hope work for my hiking, and a cute cow dragon looking stuffy. Yes, I did indeed buy him and I will take him hiking with me along the trail as long as I can.

I got a hitch back to the hotel for $5 and then went in the pool and hot tub for about 2.5 hours to relax and swim and enjoy the rest of the day.

After that I watched some Brooklyn 99 to pass the evening time and fell asleep later then I wanted but it was harder to sleep tonight, I was feeling restless again. I want to be back on trail already.

Tomorrow I will get a ride to Hiker Town from a trail angel before the Aqueduct night hike in a day and a half and to rest my heat exhaustion symptoms a bit longer.
