Day 25
12.66 miles hiked (plus 1 mile lost off another trail)

Today I woke up at 6:15 and was hiking by 7:15.
Feeling very dehydrated and tired today because of the lack of water. I have 12.66 miles to water with 1.5 litres of water left.
Luckily it looks like today’s hike is mostly flat/descending so I should be okay and make it for water as long as I take lots of rests and go at a steady slow pace.

Chaffing is a little better today with my baby powder legs
It’s quite funny having white powdered legs while hiking, but at least I smell better? Upside?

Feet are quite sore today. I’m having to stop every .5-1.5 miles depending on the difficulty of the terrain.
I saw some crazy cool things today. Two lizards fighting on trail and I got a video of it. I also spotted an animal carcass that I have no idea what it could be and got a photo of that. I hope I can find out and google more about it when I get to service. Saw some beautiful views of Big Bear lake today too.

Today was a good day. Hard but good.
I met Charlotte today and we decided that we will hike together to Wrightwood which is about 6-7 days away.
We chatted for about 5 hours when she arrived at camp after me. I decided to camp at 12.66 instead of pushing on another 1.5 miles. The water trough was by camp so I gladly filled up from there for the afternoon and evening.
Today was my longest day since being back on trail. My body certainly feels the extra miles. And it was great to actually eat some real food today for lunch and dinner.
I am feeling a bit more capable today. Everyday ends up being hard and difficult and worth it.
