Day 24
6.85 miles hiked

Started late today at 2:30 pm because I had to go to the post office and Kenny had lots of rides to give people between to and from trail and town so we got pushed to the later group. I said goodbye to Pigpen, Scratch, and Brandon today.

Off to hike again I go!
Within the first mile I saw my first Poodle Dog Bush. This plant will take you off trail if you touch it. It's worse then poison oak and ivy.
I was counting on a water source to fill up at 2.5 miles in and it was dry so I had 1 litre to get myself 17.9 miles now. I feel very weak, lightheaded, dehydrated and I have a headache.
Someone later on the trail said there might be water beforehand at a water cache so I tried to make it there before camp tonight, but I couldn’t because I started to feel too weak. So I’m two miles away to it when I start hiking tomorrow. I pray it’s there.

At camp Ketchup gave me a litre of water which saved my life because she ended up packing in too much. The trail provides!!
I also met two other girl hikers and chatted with them for a bit before retiring to my tent.
I ate candy and cheetos for dinner as the rest of my food requires water and I didn't want to waste any water on food. Dinner of champs right?

I also took some pretty photos of plants and flowers today :) Always an upside to every hard day. I’m learning that more and more.
Tonight I will watch an episode of my show to calm my brain and take my mind off the day and what tomorrow will bring.
Don’t get me wrong I am still so happy to be out here. I’m just having a harder time since being back after my injury 32 days later. It’s been hard to find myself again. Trying to get my legs back again is incredibly difficult and makes it so that I’m still in lots of pain constantly and feeling like I’m not capable enough to complete this trail. I know it will pass, and that’s what I’m holding on to in order to push through. At least the trail looks a little easier tomorrow. I will be pushing my longest mileage since being back to trail with 13 miles minimum tomorrow to get to water for dinner so I can actually eat real food.
