Day 20
9.4 miles hiked today

I said goodbye to momma at 6am because she had to get a ride to her truck at 8:30.
I woke up a little more rested then the night before, but I’m so much pain because my sleeping pad deflated during the night again and I didn’t notice till morning.
Going to keep today's blog short because I'm so tired from today.

Chafing is absolutely brutal today. I need to find another remedy to help it otherwise I don't think I'll make it through the desert.
Shit my pants today... yes you read that right. I literally shit my pants today, but hey... I heard from other hikers that you aren't a thru-hiker until you shit your pants, so am I a thru-hiker now?

The pain from hiking is in my calves/shins and feet again. A welcoming pain, a familiar pain. A pain that tells my body we are back on trail let's do this.

I got lost and back tracked to wait by a tree for others to pass and find the trail with them.
When I got to my camp spot for the night I soaked my feet and calves and chaffing in the creek by my tent spot.

I got to camp by 2:30 pm so it was still very hot and I couldn’t go into my tent yet. I made a spot for resting and such next to my tent under a little tree. It didn't provide much shade but it did the job at least.
I watched two movies to pass the time because I got to camp so early today.
I met Tesla and 3 girls from Canada today. 2 from Vancouver and 1 from Toronto.

The sounds of the frogs and the creek tonight are soothing for me. I am so thankful to be on the PCT, despite the shitting my pants and getting lost and chaffing haha, it's still a grand adventure.
